Is it really love?
or is it just a passing feeling
am I not convinced?
a bit uncertain of the feeling
Is it the way you make me feel?
so warm with joy and laughter
or could it be the happiness
from moments spent together
The lasting bliss, the kiss I miss,
The sweetest thoughts without a touch
The heart that hurts and bears a scar
thinking how far away you are
You're on my mind most of the day
And at night I go to bed and pray
An angel soft and gentle as you
Would make my sweetest dreams come true
Thinking about you alone or in mass
Writing your name on my bathroom window glass
Wishing you were here
To love hold and care
Wishing I had you with me
To cherish and to stare
Into your soft and beautiful eyes
As we both travel to the skies
And mingle with the stars above
But is it really love?
Nice poem, Viera, however, that's a question every human being asks oneself at least once in life. Love is a so complex sentiment, irrational (sometimes), you love without knowing why you do. However, the contrary does not happen often. It's easier to know why you do not love A or B and it's very difficult to know why you love C. Anyway, love is a wonderful sentiment. Feeling in love, being passionate, is a state of mind, heart and soul that no words can express it in its true sense. Maybe I am old-fashioned, romantic, dream lover... you may call me whatever you want... My comment fully pictures how I feel, how I view, how I understand what Love is and much more...

Good evening, Viera. You ask me a question and I am glad to give you an answer, not sure it will be satisfactory to you... I would say that heart and brain, when it comes to fall in love with someone, are perfect matches, as they fill 'per si' the gap that might exist between their individual perceptions. Too much philosophical? Well, perhaps I am today tuned on that wavelength... have a great evening and a nice week ahead. Do not hesitate to ask whatever question regarding your entry. I am not an expert on love... but I have naturally my personal opinions. Hugs, Belita

Wow... our Q&A seems like a kind of table tennis play, LOL! In my humble opinion, I think we have different ways of loving depending on the stage of life we are, being all true ones, yet with different facets. Finding love has nothing to do with one's age, but with the right timing, I think. As to the lengthwise of it, assuming I can use the word 'lengthwise', love can not be measured in time, depth, either. I know several cases of true and deep love till death, however, as you know, on these days, such cases have become very rare, regretfully. I do not think one should search for love... love happens, naturally, without any schedule, without any antecipation. Nobody can foretell or predict the moment one finds true love... IT DOES HAPPEN....

I love this song
"Love is the most beautiful thing in life.
There is tremendous happiness in loving, caring and making others happy, despite our own situations. It is a gift from heaven, hidden inside our heart and soul. Shared grief is half the sorrow, but happiness and love when shared, is doubled. If you want to feel rich, just count all the things you have that money can't buy. " ...and such a lovely words he was written to his blog.. I completely agree with you Vartkes...Hugs... |

My dear Belita...I agree with you ... It also seems that over the years, true love is expressed less and less. But I don’t believe it.... Most people view love to be a random occurrence between two people that happens purely and naturally...
Although love can be one of the strongest and binding elements that we know of on this earth, and at the same time, one’s problems of the most frail and fragile things we will deal with in life. We always wish to be in love with our darling eternally. It will be great...but frankly speaking , how often do we actually sit down and write out our feelings to the one we love?... I think that we should embrace love with every chance we get, for after all, it is one of the greatest things we will ever experience...unfortunately not everybody and not for ever... Have a lovely day... |
